Imagine you had no eyes to see. You would not know colors, you would not know how the sun, the stars, your environment, this whole world would look. You would not even know the look of your best friend nor yourself.
You had no pictures in your mind at all, since you do not know how things look like there were no beautiful looking places to think of and your dreams would be empty like a movie without pictures. Whatever your favorite sight or view is, it would not there.
Imagine you also had no ears to hear and would not know the sound of the birds, nor the voice of your best friend. You had no melodies in your head after you listened to the radio and your dreams would be still, like a movie without pictures , soundtrack and dialogs. Your mind would not be able to recognize and hear sound of any kind.
You could not talk because you cannot even hear your own voice. You could not even talk with your hands since you could not see what they do. Whatever your favorite song is, it would not be there.
Imagine further you could not even taste. Every single food you ate was plain. Having appetite just because of the good taste of something would not be possible. An apple would be the same for you as a potato and water had no more taste at all. Whatever your favorite taste is, it would not be there.
Imagine that you also could not smell. You could not smell the fresh air, the flowers and the fresh cut grass in the summer months. Whatever your favorite smell is, it would not be there.
Now imagine even further that you could not feel. You would not know the difference between warm and cold. You could not walk because your feet would not feel the ground you were walking on. Riding a roller coaster would no longer be any fun at all. You could not feel the wind blowing though your face or the sun’s warmth on it. Whatever your favorite feeling is, it would not be there.
Your mind could not even try to imagine how things would look like if you could see, nor imagine how things would taste, how they would smell and if they made any sound, simply because you could not even feel them when touching them. And if you could not feel, would love still exist?
Your mind would be completely empty. There would be nothing.
Yet, you would still exist.
Now ask yourself. Who are you really?
It is not wrong to believe what the system or someone else tells you. However I want to bear in mind that it is you to choose that path and by choosing to believe what a particular person or a complete system tells you, you will forever be a slave to that person or that system.
Everything is said to have a soul, nothing can exist without it. It is also said that the devil is after your soul. He is so because he does not have one but yet needs one to exist. Your soul cannot be taken but must be given.
If you believe what the outer world tells you instead of what your soul tells you, you will be giving away part of your soul for something that you only thought you wanted because the world out there told you so.
It is like a game and the only way to win is to choose for yourself instead of letting other people tell you who you are and what to do. Be the person you want to be, dream to be and do what you truly wish to do.
Failing itself is just another perspective and if anyone tells you, you failed in any matter they can only tell you so from their perspective but never from your own. It does not matter how it looks to others, all it matters is how it looks to you.
The only time you truly failed is when you believe the perspective of others. That moment you deny your own perspective which is based on what your soul truly aspires.
If you do not let other people tell you what perspective to have and therefore let other people try to make something out of you that you are not but instead you stay true to your own perspective and yourself, you are truly free. You can then do WHATEVER you want. Whatever you truly want to do.
It is your life and if loosing in your perspective is a failure it is. If not it is not. But do not let other people tell you what perspective to have. Make up your own.
The truth is that you are free, completely free to choose your perspective and to choose what you believe or if you want to believe anyone or anything else than what your heart and soul tells you. Your soul never lies, it cannot.
There’s a famous saying:â€Why do we fall? To learn to get up again.â€ The Answer to that question is perspective as well and you, and you only, are the one who chooses your own answer to that question.
Even time is perspective and it is relative and really only part of your mind. Einstein once said something like the following about time.
Time runs way to fast when you sit with your girlfriend on the beach enjoying the sunset. 1 hour feels like 5 minutes. However when you sit alone at the train station waiting for your train, 5 Minutes easily feel like 1 hour.
The reality that you live is nothing more than an audio-visual demonstration of where your attention is. The universe presumes your attention is on what you want and graciously provides you with more of the same. If this dynamic were understood, you would never do anything so foolish as to declare a war on drugsâ€”unless, of course, your objective were to create more of them. There is no better way to increase drug traffic than to have everyoneâ€™s attention focused on it. This same principle applies to increasing everything you think you oppose, and it is also the reason a war cannot be won. If you were serious about stopping drugs, the best course would be to stop being fascinated with them via your perceived opposition. I recieved this from a friend of mine some years ago, when I was going thru some tough personal issue, it was a wake up call for me. I thought I would share it.
Your life is now. I tell you this from the bottom of my heart. It is not what you did yesterday. It is not what you will do tomorrow or in your future. It is now.
Today is your opportunity to live the real life. Today is your time to get out of the swamp of the status quo. You need to be different on purpose:
â€¢ Don’t sit around your house and watch TV.
â€¢ Don’t sell your soul for a great benefits package.
â€¢ Don’t buy things to have a cooler image.
â€¢ Don’t hang around with people aiming low in their lives.
â€¢ Don’t chase money and stuff.
â€¢ Don’t let the majority shape you.
You are a great-spirited person; it shows in your ambitions and dreams. However, you are not taking your potential seriously. You are trading invaluable days for mere “good times,” and “getting-by.” Because you are letting your fears get the best of you. You fear the time is not right, the resources aren’t there, and you don’t have what it takes. And now, your fear is slowing you down like an anchor that slips overboard and drags along the bottom.
The only fear you need is the fear that you will continue living a life much smaller than your spirit and awake someday to find yourself a shell of a person, a product of hundred small mediocre choices. They demand to be used to their full capacity. The reward your abilities promise is nothing short of greatness and excellence.
Let me be blunt, in hopes of making my true point: Everyday you do not commit yourself to greatness; you are falling asleep, allowing yourself to suffocate on an atmosphere of mediocrity. Is the spirit-killing atmosphere I reference real? You only need to look at the newspaper or TV to know we are surrounded by negativity that cares little about inspiring greatness. You are never far from people who care nothing about being different, trying harder, or aiming higher. And you are exposed to a constant stream of products and services and efforts where average makes the grade. Yes indeed, you live in an atmosphere of mediocrity, and like poison gas it will dull you, bore you, disillusion you and lessen you if you don’t wake up and do something about it. My friend, your life is now. Take a stand against mediocrity. Make your greatness non-negotiable. Put it into higher gear.
